Abstract

The graduation thesis inquires into elaborating the project documentation of installation of a heat source incl. a heat pump for the residential building. Current system of the Central Heat Supply will be replaced with this new designed heat source. It is a test case, which serves to demonstrate the extent of the investment, and economical eventually environmental benefits of implementation of given design. This paper´s purpose is to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of the replacement of Central Heat Supply with an independent heat source with a heat pump, in the most objective way possible. Following the selection of the convenient residential building, the heating and sanitary design in the extent for realization modification the heat source was worked up; design included the equipment of the new machinery room providing the building with its most fundamental requirements – heating and hot water supply. The second part of the thesis concerns with economical and environmental aspects of the design, and compares the new proposed heat source with the existing one.
