Abstract
The aim of the bachelor thesis is the calculation of heat transmission of the whole car due to thermal losses. Check out the air conditioning unit and the heating system and suggest modifications to these devices.
In the practical part the heat dissipation of the whole car is calculated when driving a rail vehicle in the second class including the driver's cab.
The calculation part is implemented for heating in the winter. To define heat losses it was necessary to determine coefficient of penetration by the planar wall. It was also necessary to define the required performance of heating systems.
In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis a study of air conditioning units is carried out and heating equipment. I described the principle of heating and cooling for this engine unit. The work also includes heating and cooling for other railway rolling stock.
Total heat loss values while driving the engine unit: passenger compartment 6675,43 W, entrance space 1142,11 W and the driver's cab 949,83 W.
Therefore, the values of the required heating output are: second class section 21 885, 66 W, entrance space 1245, 66 W and driver's office space 1815,17 W. Performance of heating systems is thermally oversized, because in winter time a hot water aggregate is used for heating
with a power of 35 kW. And the hot air flow from air conditioning units.
This type of vehicle is operated by Czech Railways on regional connections for passenger transport. The power units are produced by the Polish Pesa engineering plant based in Bydgoszcz.
