Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on a topic related to increasing the performance of traction substations. It is based on an assumption that points to the limit technical capability of some elements of traction substations in the Czech Republic. This work is focused on methods and dimensioning of power supply of traction power stations and dimensioning of traction lines. Furthermore, there are traction calculations with regard to prospective traffic according to the train schedule. Due to the increase in train traffic, it is necessary to dimension traction substations for higher outputs. The solved section is simulated using simulations in OpenTrack and OpenPowerNet. The last chapter explains the influence of wellprocessed documentation on the later schedule of train traffic with regard to the performance of traction rail vehicles.
