Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of active and passive safety systems of the APR1000, which is one of the projects for the completion of new units in Dukovany. The first part of this thesis deals with the history of nuclear power with particular attention paid to major nuclear accidents and the generational development of nuclear reactors. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the division and description of individual safety systems of the APR1000. At the end of the thesis, a calculation of the vertical steam generator is performed.
