Abstract

This Master Thesis is focused on joining of plastics using hot plate welding technology. The theoretical part is description of plastics and their properties and suitability for welding. Furthermore, the possibilities of welding of plastics by welding technologies, especially in automotive industry. The experimental part is devoted to analysis of hot plate welding technology from two sides. One is welding process and second is design assembly of equipment. The conclusion of the thesis is the evaluation of the weld quality and advantages of using this technology for welding plastics.
