This thesis is developed and implemented to verify the effectiveness of the accredited calibration center in medium-sized companies – similar to the company fortell Ltd. – in order to reduce the costs expended for calibration in external companies. It deals with the processing and calculation of costs for the installation and operation of the internal calibration center, which are compared with the costs needed for calibration in external centers. Installing and operating the internal calibration center becomes ineffective when we consider the high amount of required costs. In conclusion, there are also made calculations that would guarantee its effectiveness.
