Využití zážitkového turismu v geovědním a montánním turismu (Rejvízská hornatina)

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis explores the possibilities of using experiential approaches in geoscience tourism, with the Rejvíz Highlands in the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains as a case study. In this thesis, the term experiential education is used to refer to an educational method based on active experience, personal involvement, and participants’ reflection. In contrast, experiential tourism is understood as a field of tourism focused on providing authentic and immersive experiences to visitors. The main aim of the thesis is to analyse the potential of this area for the development of geoscience tourism and to propose approaches to its interpretation through a set of thematic educational lessons. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to experiential and geoscience tourism and discusses the possibilities of using experiential methods in the interpretation of natural and cultural-historical heritage. The analytical part focuses on the characteristics of the study area, especially its geological, geomorphological, hydrological, biological, and historical-mining conditions. These components are assessed in terms of their educational and interpretative potential. The application part consists of a set of six thematic lessons that connect geoscience content with elements of experiential and interpretative education. The lessons are designed as practically applicable educational units intended primarily for secondary school students, as well as for use in field teaching, excursions, or interpretative programmes. The thesis shows that the Rejvíz Highlands represent an area with significant potential for the development of educational activities that can contribute to the popularisation of geosciences, the interpretation of mining heritage, and the strengthening of the relationship with the natural and cultural environment of the region.
