Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on improving the quality of the production process in a seamless tube rolling plant in Ostrava, which utilizes the Mannesmann process for the production of seamless tubes. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of production, identify the causes of significant types of nonconforming products, and propose corrective measures to reduce their occurrence and implement them into the existing production process.
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the contemporary understanding of quality and defines the basic concepts and terminology used in quality management. It also explains the importance of selected quality improvement tools and describes approaches to quality management that help prevent the occurrence of nonconformities and support continuous process improvement.
The practical part focuses on the analysis and mapping of a selected part of the production process over a defined period. The monitored production process and applied technology are briefly described, followed by the definition and classification of individual types of nonconformities. Subsequently, the frequency of their occurrence is evaluated and the vital few are identified and further examined. The outcome of this analysis is a set of proposed corrective measures and recommendations aimed at eliminating these key nonconformities, which have the most significant impact on production quality.
