Abstract

This thesis focuses on a design of the Škoda Favorit Gr. A’s front wheel suspension. The whole thesis is divided into several basic parts. In the introduction of the theoretical part, the mentioned vehicle is described, its history and, above all, the meaning of the particular parts of the front suspension. Further, the calculation of the load force in the wheel suspension is dealt with. The next part concentrates on a design of the lower suspension arm. The strength check is made using the finite element method, where the forces calculated are the input. In the last part of the thesis, the total evaluation of the adjustment is included, together with material and financial demands. The complete drawings of the designed solution are included in the enclosures, as are the outputs of the strength check.
