Abstract
SUCHÝ, B. Study of the Surface Adjustment Turbines for Small Water Power Station : Bachelor Thesis. Ostrava : VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Technology, 2012, 54 p. Thesis head: Laník, T.
The bachelor thesis deals with analysis and testing of surface coating systems for small hydro-power plants. The aim is to find a suitable system for treatment of turbine surface.
In the first chapters problem of cavitations and corrosion in these devices is described. The following part compares protective properties of available protection technologies and suggests procedures to improve corrosion resistance, life time and adhesion of coating systems. In the experimental part protective properties of three brush-applied coating systems are tested. Specifically, Tikkurila, NORMASTIC 405 a Belzona 1341. Following research methods are used: visual control of material, control of clearness of the surface, measuring of coating thickness, adhesion tests and measuring of rate of defects and blisters on a treated surface. The tests are evaluated and the result is comparison of the tested samples of coating systems in terms of required properties.
