Abstract
At present, there are several generations on the labor market, the generation of Baby Boomers, generation X and generation Y. To a lesser extent, there are representatives of the Silent generation and generation Z. Each generation is specific by something else, has different expectations, shares different values which is reflected in the work environment. From the point of view of the successful operation of companies, knowledge and understanding of individual generations is underlying. Generation Y has been a highly-discussed working group in recent years. The content of the diploma thesis is a research of the working behavior of generation Y representatives‘ in a selected company. In the first part a theoretical analysis is made on the given issue. In the second part the questionnaire survey is evaluated and at the end there are written recommendations how to work with the generation Y.
