Abstract
The aim of this thesis is in the use of new materials for the external fixator, new designs, weight reduction and fixator strength calculation. These fixators can be used in the treatment of open and unstable fractures of pelvis and its acetabulum. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy of the pelvis of human, pelvis fractures and their treatment. This chapter also describes the types of external fixators, their history and used materials. The practical part is divided into three chapters, the first chapter focuses on the analysis of load and choice of boundary conditions. The second chapter describes the strength calculations of external fixator via Finite Element Method. In the last charter, there is an assessment and comparison of streses and deformations with the original version of the fixator.
