Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the influence of geometry on the stress in the wall of the human aorta using two-way FSI analysis. The theoretical part describes the activity and function of the cardiovascular system, with the primary area of interest being the description of the properties of the wall and flowing blood. The following chapter contains a research study focusing on the use of FSI analysis in the mutual interaction of flowing blood with a flexible wall. After a brief evaluation of the FSI analysis, the computational part follows that includes creation and tuning of the reference model. At the end of this chapter, the obtained values of pressure, velocity, circumferential stress and shear stress are compared with the values obtained in vivo. The last chapter contains a comparison of the effect of changes in geometry and material on the course of pressure in the abdominal aorta and tension in the abdominal aortic wall.
