Abstract

This Bachelor’s Thesis describes the transporting of the fuel in cars with petrol engines. The main goal of this thesis was analyzing and designing a proper fuel system for “Formula Student” project. Research, as a part of this thesis, describes in detail the fuel system for one- and two-wheeled vehicles. All kinds of fuel systems and their differences are given there. All components, their features and benefits for whole fuel system are described as well. I also deal with designing appropriate 3D models of fuel system for student’s formula. The entire fuel system had to be optimized for Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle engine and placed to the limited space of vehicle frame.
