Abstract

In the introduction, the Master thesis deals with an overview of Cable Logging. The next part deals the construction of a Tractor mounted Yarder Logging. The rope system is suitably selected. The forces acting in the ropes are investigated and the ropes are designed. The construction of drums and the design of the drive are also solved. The drive consists of a chain drive, pneumatically operated Cone Clutch and Belt Brakes. Pneumatic control of these components is solved. The all construction of the station is solved, consisting of a welded frame and a dominant Tower. Rope Pulleys on the Tower and a hydraulic Piston were solving. Some information is provided about the anchoring of the Yarder at the workplace. In the last step, the recommended cable cars are adaptable for this Yarder from European manufacturers.
