This Bachelor Thesis concerns with the status of hydropower energetics in the Czech Republic. Theoretical parts are focus on present situation of hydropower plants in the Czech Republic and perspective of retrieving energy by hydropower plants in the future. In practical part is made analysis of hydropower potential of middle river. The river is Olše near the city Český Těšín. Than is made the project of turbine and project of composition of turbines in small hydropower plant. The last part of this thesis encompassed energetic, economic and environmental evaluation, which points if this small hydropower plant is a good investment.
