Stabilita plachetnice a návrh sklopného kýlu

Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with the stability of the Cape Cutter 19 sailboat. New sripts in matlab were created to determine the sailboat stability curve. The program was applied on the set of points representing the hull. The stability curve describes the realition between heel angle and stabilizing moment. After that. alternative keel variants were designed and analyzed from the point of view of stability. Apart of the stability curve, work required to overturn the sailboat was computed. This work was compared with the work produced by stabilizing moment. After that it was possible to calculate the maximum wind speed for different sized sails. Further it was realized the stress analysis of the centerboard. New centerboard was designed from aluminum.
