Sazba odborných publikací v prostředí Scribus

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with description of basic typographic rules for the typesetting of professional publications and possibilities of their application in the Scribus program. In the first chapter I will describe the basic typographic rules and terms such as the font and other important things related to it, the canon of page construction, the typesetting mirror, the border for binding or the bleed. In the following chapters I will deal with the description of the individual elements of the Scribus environment, its installation and I will also focus on setting up and working with the program.
