Abstract

The bachelor thesis is describing renovation of diesel engine 5D20B-240. History of engine design and its varians are described in the begining. Main part of the thesis focuses on general overhaul of the engine. It explains disassembly and inspection of main parts of the engine. Considering the state of individual parts, renovation procedures are proposed. Consequently, assembly and texting of the engine is summarized. In the conclusion of the thesis suitability of general overhaul of engine 5D20B-240 is explained, considering technical and economic factors.
