Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with design of cogeneration unit with piston combustion engine CAT 500. It explains the key terms of cogeneration, distribution of units and their usage in practise. It describes production technology and compares various cogeneration units. It focuses on the technology of cogeneration units with piston combustion engine. Calculation of idealized circulation of the combustion engine is being solved and thermal balance of the heat exchangers. The conclusion contains economic evaluation of cogeneration unit.
