Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design of a 4-axis portable milling machine, which was specially designed for the needs of the Department of Machining, Assembly and Engineering Metrology. The milling machine is intended for teaching purposes of students. At the beginning of the thesis, a market research is carried out, based on which different alternative solutions for different parts of the structure are developed. Subsequently, the specific solutions chosen for each part of the milling machine are described in detail. The next part of the thesis focuses on the required portability of the equipment. Finally, the calculation of cutting forces during machining is performed, which are then used to control the motor performance and deformation of the structure. The work includes the attached drawings.
