Abstract
This master thesis deals with designing a smart hybrid heat source (SHHS) with an output 25 kW. SHHS consists of two parts that are a boiler part that burns wooden pallets and an air/water heat pump. The introductory part of the thesis contains mainly a description of available trends in household heating and subsequent evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of using heat pumps and boilers for solid fuels. Furthermore, a general description of SHHS and specifications of technical requirements for its two parts are tuned. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the economics of operation and the design of the optimal operating mode of an intelligent hybrid heat source. The full practical part is compiled in the electronic appendix of the diploma thesis. The conclusion of the paper is supplemented by the outputs of experimental verification of SHHS operation.
