Abstract

The work is focused on solving the problem of accuracy and quality of cut under specified technological conditions of cutting semi-finished products for closed die forgings. To design the optimal cutting conditions on ScKu-type crank shears, it is essential to know the theoretical laws of the process. For this reason, the theoretical part of the work is focused on the analysis of the issue of chipless material separation with a closer focus on cutting. The practical part presents the results of test cuts performed on low carbon steel St 52-3 (S355JR) using theoretical knowledge. According to the available options, the technological conditions for cutting were chosen and their design was verified by weighing the cuttings and evaluating the deviations from the nominal value.
