Abstract
The thesis is elaborated analysis of the operation of urban public transport in Opava. Firstly, a description of Opava and characteristics of MDPO a.s. and of its fleet. Furthermore, themethods of operating and economic evaluation were described. Followed by operating characteristics, performance and economic indicators in the period from 2009 to 2011. Finally
a proposal for transportation improvements in MDPO a.s. was made.
