Abstract
This thesis describes the design and practical verification of digitizing universal length measuring instrument ZEISS 450, this work was drawn from business requirements UNIMETRA, spol. Ltd. The theoretical part is oriented division of measuring instruments according to Act No.119 / 2000 Sb. It also analyzes problems of uncertainties in measurement, evaluation and sources which could come. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes the requirements for measuring devices and structures influence the measuring instruments on the measurement process. The practical part describes The instrument ZEISS 450 with its technical parameters, which are digitized. The practical part also contains components that have been used for digitizing the measuring ruler Renishaw RGH22 and evaluation software v.6.0 Comparator. In conclusion, the design verification, including an evaluation and comparison of results, which were measured before and after digitization. Also there is an evaluation of the measured results and benefits of digitization.
