Abstract

The thesis is dealing with the change of water hammer under different amount of air. In the introductory chapter, there is the definition of the water hammer and its utilization. In the next theoretical part of the thesis, there is the explanation of the way of the measurement of the air content by electrochemical and fluorescence method. Through the laboratory measurement the processes of the pressure during the time during the water hammer were found for the water tank without the air and for the water tank with the air. Then, the real speed of the sound a during the water hammer for the both ways of measurement was calculated.
