Abstract

The master thesis deals with the design of a point machine for railway switch actuating. In the introduction part there are described basic parts of railway switches and their function. Next part of the thesis deals with application of various point machines and point locks in practice. The construction design itself combines several commonly used point machines with its own inner point lock design. The following part contains design of each component with specified parameters. The strength examination is made for designed strained parts. The result of the thesis is the construction proposal of the point machine device providing function of inner point lock. Final part of the thesis contains all achieved results. The annex part is mainly composed of the technical drawing documentation.
