Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of the welding process on the residual stresses in the fillet weld. The theoretical part deals with the issue of residual stresses and strains. Their distribution, origin and creation is addressed here. The following are measures against their occurrence. At the end of the theoretical part, the possibilities of reducing residual stresses and deformations are discussed. In the practical part, method 135 was chosen as the welding method, then the basic material and eight different welding trajectories were chosen. The Simufact Welding program was used to analyze the welding process and subsequent residual stresses and deformations. The values of the calculated residual stresses and strains for different welding trajectories were compared with each other and then the most advantageous variants were determined.
