Abstract

The master thesis focuses on the influence of substrate surface cleanliness on thin coating adhesion. The theoretical part of the thesis is elaborated in the form of a research, where is presented the knowledge about the surface of the material. At the beginning of the theoretical part, I focused on the surface of the material itself. Next I was dealing with corrosion and division of corrosion. In the following section, I mentioned some mechanical and chemical surface treatments. The nanopowder formation and properties are described at the end of the theoretical part. The experimental part of the thesis is focused on the influence of the properties of hydrophobic and hydrophilic particles on the adhesion of thin coating to the aluminum surface. From the results it is evident that the hydrophobic particles relatively affect the adhesion of the coating.
