Vliv torrefikace na kvalitu a energetické parametry pelet z odpadní biomasy

Abstract

This master thesis is dealing with the effect of torrefaction on the quality and energy parameters of pellets produced from waste biomass. The waste biomass here consisted of input materials in the form of coffee grounds, oilseed rape straw and chaff. The materials were first subjected to initial measurements where their moisture content and bulk density were measured and then sieve analysis was carried out. The input materials were then mixed according to pre-selected ratios. Before pelletization, the samples were measured for moisture content and water was added as required to give a final moisture content of 18 %. The pelletization itself was then carried out. The resulting pellets were subjected to several tests, which are described later in this thesis. After the tests, the pellets were subjected to torrefaction. The torrefied pellets were again subjected to the tests and their results subsequently compared. The work also includes the calculation of the consumption of the produced pellets for heating of a model family house. The final part of this work is the design of the roller, which will serve as a replacement for the old and worn-out roller.
