Abstract
This master thesis focuses on the design of equipment used for bypass dust sorting. The equipment is a part of the silo emptying system and it shall replace the existing star-shaped sorter. The purpose of this replacement is to improve the final properties of the product. Parameters and requirements were submitted by DSD-Dostál a.s., Dřevohostice. The research part summarizes basic types of sorters and the principles of the process used to sort powdery and bulk materials. The introductory part also deals with the issue of the origin of the sorted material, its usability and characteristic properties. The calculation part focuses on the design of the sorter dimensions, the selection of the driver and on the required strength of selected components. The annex includes assembly drawing of the sorter and drum production drawings.
