Abstract
The goal of Bachelor thesis is to review ways of estimation of elastic constants in long-fiber unidirectional composite materials and then simulate shear test of long-fiber composite material via finite element method estimating shear modulus and comparing its values with analytically obtained values of shear modulus.
Bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theortical part is focused on review of general information of composite materials and estimation of analytical ways of calculating elastic constants. Practical part describes shear tests which is then simulated and accuracy of shear modulus estimation is then evaluated.
