Abstract

This thesis deals with the testing of ceramic cutting tools in intermittent cutting conditions on an irregular interrupted cut simulator, which was constructed at the Department of machining and assembly. The first part is a description of a ceramic material machining. In the second - the experimental section provides a description of the methodology and detailed description of the testing tools in intermittent cutting. There are two types of matched ceramic cutting inserts from the company ISCAR and TaeguTec in terms of ability to withstand shocks when turning the machine under conditions of intermittent irregular cut. Finally, evaluation of individual types of comparison and discussion of results.
