Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of cycling helmets. Describes their production technology and the materials used in it. The main objective is to get as much information as possible about the test methods and material characteristics of the cycling helmets so that it is possible to use this knowledge for subsequent dissertation in which dynamic testing of helmets can be performed per the principles determined by the European standard ČSN EN 960 and ČSN EN 1078. Integral of the work is also a description of the 3D scan for obtain the 3D model, which was used to define the numerical model. This numerical model was subsequently used to determine the right material properties of the helmet. Material proper-ties determined by us were derived from the behavior of the helmet during the experiment digital image correlation. Finally, we compared the results of FEM calculation with the experiment.
