Abstract

The objective of the master thesis is an analysis of the conception of work performance management at Slévárna Dolní Benešov, s.r.o., evaluation of the present condition, and improvement of the present solution. Due to the fact that the company has changed its trade name as of 1st January 2015, the new name of the company, namely RKL Slévárna, s.r.o., is used in the thesis. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part describes the theoretical starting points for work performance and subsequently defines the general terms that apply to work performance planning and management, motivation, work performance evaluation and remuneration, and possibilities of education and personal development of employees. The second part of the thesis contains a characterization of RKL Slévárna, s.r.o. and outlines the production programme of the company which influences the system of management of work performance of employees on the basis of the production process to a considerable extent. In addition, this part contains a detailed description and analysis of the present conception of the work performance management. The analysis is made on the basis of evaluation of a questionnaire survey performed among both blue-collar and white-collar employees and structured interviews with managing persons of the company. This part of the thesis contains also suggestions and recommendations that arose from the questionning and the interviews. The final part of the thesis sums up the knowledge gained from the questionnaire survey and suggests methods of improving the conception of the management of work performance of employees of RKL Slévárna, s.r.o.
