Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with calculation of dynamic mechanical properties of damping material using American standart ASTM E756-05:2010 Standart Test Method for Measuring Vibration-Damping Properties of Materials. Firstly, there is the theory needed to understand the calculated values and methodology of testing and measuring the vibration-damping properties of the material according to the standard. Subsequently, analytical calculations are performed according to the methodology described in the standard and numerical simulations using finite element method. In conclusion of this thesis is a comparison of both methods of calculation and evaluation of results.
