Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is anylyze contactless temperature measuring methods and location problems. There are summarized standard types of communication buses, another part explains contactless temperature sensors and their problems. There are described principles and proceeding of non-contact temperature measuring, and further sensors for non – contact position measuring. The main part of the thesis is focused on laboratory task „Monitoring the position and temperature of the object by non-contact sensors." The following chapters analyse individual modules of this task. These modules are mobile object, non-contact position and temperature sensors, USB4711 converter and table, which the mobile object moves on. Using the USB bus there are all mentioned modules connected into the one laboratory model and connected to the PC. There is created easy visual representation in the Control Web to verify the functionality of this model. This visualization describes the course of measurements using graphs and stores the measured values into database. From these measurements is possible to get static and transient characteristics and monitor the behavior of sensors during changes in temperature or the distance of the object.
