Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the design of an alternative technology for applying copper-based material. The introductory theoretical part is focused on thermal spraying technology. Its general properties, distribution and use. In the next part, I deal with sliding materials used in the construction of sliding bearings and segments. The main focus is on copper-based alloys. Specifically, bronzes. In the description, I deal with the variety of properties and their applications in the plain bearing sector. The experimental part describes the technology of production and preparation of sample products using equipment for thermal flame spraying. Subsequently, I compare the achieved results of three selected technologies of applying layers of material. The comparison is focused on tests based on light microscopy. The result is an evaluation of the resulting structures of the products and their applicability in the application of sliding bearings.
