ANNOTATION OF DIPLOMA THESIS VALIŠ, J. Analysis of oil sealed rotary vane pump. The goal of this thesis is to analyze vibration and noise sources regarding usage of rotary vane pumps. The first part is focused on vacuum's general principles, it also describes individual pump types and their categorization according to their mechanism, function and usage. In the second part, a pump manufacturer company – Edwards and their products are introduced. Edwards' products are described and compared along with other pumps. The thesis also mentions possible mechanical imperfections leading to noise and vibrations on an actual measured pump as well as their effects on human organism. The final part evaluates our measurements and confronts them with theory.
