Abstract
In this bachelor thesis I focus on properties of machining tools coats, especially measuring its thickness. The theoretical part is about principles of basic methods of coating and their modifications, then examples of coats and their use and at the end I analysed basic abilities of the coats. Experimental part is about practical measuring of machining tools coat thickness with 3 different types of microscopes. In the thesis conclusion are my results evaluated.
