Abstract

The objective of this thesis was to assess the functionality and the accuracy of the computing methods in the prediction of the weld joint hardness of steel P91. Another aim was to assess the influence of the welding temperature mode on the final maximum hardness of the weld joint of this type of steel. The theoretical part of this thesis concerned with the research of the P91 steel. Properties, microstructure, weldability and usage of this steel were described above all. The research of several different computing methods used for the prediction of the maximum hardness of the weld joint regarding the influence of the temperature was conducted in the theoretical part too. A new programme for checking the influence of the used welding temperature mode on the maximum hardness of the weld joint was designed within the experiment. Furthermore, the functionality and the accuracy of the models for prediction and maximum hardness of the weld joint, which were described in the theoretical part of the thesis, were verified. In the conclusion of the thesis the analysis of the experiment and its results was conducted.
