Bachelor thesis is focused on verifying the braking performance of selected cars. The aim of this work is selected for a personal vehicle to measure and compare the size of the braking distance, which is measured under predetermined conditions during hard braking operation. Size braking distance is compared between winter and summer tires, set off and then turned on ABS. The introductory part is theoretical description of the vehicle, a theoretical description of the function of the brakes and braking systems. In the following section are characterized by conditions of the experiment. In the final part I measured data are evaluated and compared in tables and graphical display.
