Abstract

The master thesis deals with the design of a device that uses rollers to coat two specific places on a spring wire. The device automatically mixes the paint and regulates its viscosity. In the thesis, the concept of viscosity is first determined. Subsequently, the current state of the coating devices used by the client is described. In addition, the information necessary for the compilation of the requirement sheet is given, such as the media to be transported and the limitations of the working space. Based on the equipment requirements, two solution options are given. The chosen option is described in detail, including design calculations. Selected parts of the proposed design are checked by computer simulation using finite element method.
