Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis is Image analysis of Ostrava City. This work deals with the present image analysis of the city from the perspective of inhabitants of the city, visitors commuting to work or school, as well as from the perspective of inhabitants of the Czech Republic who have never been to the city. The work compares the ideas and perceptions of Ostrava city from the perspective of afore mentioned target groups and summarizes and evaluates the differences. Individual opinions were collected through the questionnaire survey. The marketing research suggests that Ostrava seems to be the city with polluted air, dirty, dangerous and with high unemployment. Inhabitants of the city perspective its characteristics more favorably than visitors or other inhabitants of the Czech Republic, who have never been to the city.
