Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of present tools for CNC working in an enterprise manufacturing injections moulds for plastics. Machining using the compared tools here takes up a significant part of the total production time. Therefore it is primary to define fundamental aspects of this process both from the theoretical and practical point of view. The aim of the thesis is to find optimal use of evaluated tools in production and to find advantages and disadvantages of conventional milling machines and milling machines operating with higher travels through technological, physical and economic view regardless marketing strategies of tool sellers. The introduction describes manufacturing characteristics and the machine park in the evaluated enterprise, rules of machining itself and specifics of tools dealt with. The next part is devoted to test machining realized during operation of the tool shop in real time on parts intended to be manufactured. It also inspects further effective use of tools or a more proper use of another option. The conclusion is the evaluation of output values from machining test and determination of findings that may assist in selecting the right tool for a specific strategy of machining, workpiece and machine with regard to secondary influence on machining. All of this contributes to shortening time of manufacturing and thus reducing the production costs.
