Abstract

This bachelor thesis contains summary of all SMR prototypes, except of those of the IV. generation. Introducing into the conception of SMR and evaluating their potential for the future of nuclear energetics. The bachelor thesis also aims to design a steam generator for small nuclear heating plant generating 229 MWth. Designing is devided into few steps. The first is selection of suitable steam generator and as second it is realization of thermal calculation leading to specify dimensions of the steam generator. There is thermal calculation done in this bachelor thesis and based on this calculation, dimensions of the steam generator were designed. Due to small range of this thesis, hydraulic calculation was omitted. Thesis is supplemented with model of one steam generator loop with one steam generators segment.
