Konstrukční návrh předsádky s měnitelnou geometrií pro ultrazvukové snímače

Abstract

Bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of variable angle ultrasonic wedge for ultrasonic testing. The main goal of this thesis was to develop the shape of the wedge, realize FEM simulation of wave propagation through the wedge itself and finally to compare the manufactured prototype with a commercially available product. Theoretical part of the thesis contains the theory related to the basic concepts of ultrasound, ultrasonic testing and wave theory, focused on derivation of the governing equations for the longitudinal and shear waves. The practical part contains the topics related to the wedge design, results of FEM simulations and a final experimental verification of proposed prototype.
