Abstract

In its theoretico-methodological part, this thesis clarifies basic concepts. Possible approaches to the creation of a business plan are described, as well as methods used in the characterization of the market. The practical part contains a business plan written according to the requirements of the Employment Office of the CzechRepublic. Selected methods are used to examine the business environment. Firstly, a questionnaire survey is conducted, and secondly, Porter’s five forces analysis; SWOT analysis is carried out with thus acquired data. An appropriate strategy is chosen for a travel agency entering the business market. The prices of tours are based on calculations and the Van Westendrop’s Price Sensitivity Meter. Revenues and expenses are also estimated.
