Přestavba křižovatky silnic I/11 a II/479 v Havířově

Abstract

The subject of the diploma thesis „Reconstruction of the Intersection road I/11 and II/479 in Havirov“ is the verification of the possibility of building an overpass that would facilitate the left turn from the road I/11 to road II/479. The main aim of the overpass is to transfer part of the traffic away from the intersection and avoid the left turn at the intersection. This should help improve continuity and safety at the intersection. The work also includes an assessment of the current disposition of the intersetion. This was carried out using a traffic survey, from which all parameters needed for the capacity assessment of the curent disposition and subsequent modifications of the intersection were determined. As part of the project, the horizontal and vertical routing of the overpass was elaborated. At the end, acomparison was made as to whether any modification of the intersection is more appropriate than current disposition.
