Abstract
This thesis is aimed at the issue of heat treatment of silicon spring steels. The thesis
is divided into several parts - the introduction presents proper materials for helical springs,
in another section are described basic parameters of production processes, mechanical properties, chemical structures and how are these springs used.
In the experimental section are described recommended heat treatment conditions of silicon spring steels and production of specimens for testing made from 51CrV4, 52CrMoV4, 54SiCr6, 52SiCrNi5. The conclusion evaluates the results of mechanical
and metallographical testing and examination.
